Evelyn C. Loose MD

Evelyn Loose, M.D. is a board-certified anesthesiologist who provides anesthesia for all types of surgical procedures. She has special expertise in the treatment of acute pain, ultrasound-guided Regional Anesthesia, and is the director of the Acute Pain Service at the University of Utah. She is a member of the Anesthesia Liver Transplant team. She is able to apply her knowledge of Echocardiography in the acute setting of liver transplants and traumas. Dr. Loose practices at the University Hospital, University Orthopedic Center, Huntsman Cancer Hospital, and the Salt Lake City Veterans Administration Health System.

Dr. Evelyn Loose is an Associate Professor in the Department of Anesthesiology. She is the director of the Regional Anesthesia and Acute Pain Service at the University Hospital and Huntsman Cancer Hospital. In addition to her clinical responsibilities, Dr. Loose is involved in teaching medical students and residents. She has co-authored publications and book chapters in the field of ultrasound-guided regional anesthesia and has lectured consistently at regional and national meetings.
