Evangelos Papanikolaou

Prof Evangelos Papanikolaou, obtained his MD degree in 1994 and the specialty degree in Obstetrics and Gynecology in 2002 at the Medical school of Ioannina, University of Ioannina, Greece. Obtained two PhD degrees: the first was granted to him at Ioannina University in 2004 and his thesis entitled “Premature ovarian failure and endothelial dysfunction”; the second one was granted to him at Dutch speaking Free University of Brussels (VUB) in 2008 and his thesis was on “Blastocyst culture in assisted reproduction”. Obtained a degree of Master in Medical and Pharmaceutical Research at VUB in 2004. From 2002 till September 2005 he subspecialized in Reproductive Medicine in the Centre of Reproductive Medicine at the University Hospital of VUB in Brussels under Prof. P.Devroey. He became a consultant in the above centre, and from 2007 until 2010 he was the scientific director of the IVF centre “Biogenesis” in Thessaloniki, Greece, and directs Human Reproduction & Genetics Foundation in Thessaloniki. He is the founder and president of Assisting Nature, IVF Unit since 8-2014, Lecturer in Aristotle University of Greece.
