Evan Thackaberry PhD, DABT

Evan A. Thackaberry, PhD, DABT is an experienced drug developer and an expert in ocular toxicology and formulation safety assessment. He began his career as a regulatory and investigative toxicologist at the Schering-Plough Research Institute, developing next-generation drugs across multiple therapeutic areas. After this, Dr Thackaberry worked at Genentech Inc, where he led the nonclinical support for the ocular delivery research and development portfolio. He is an active member of the Society of Toxicology (SOT), the American College of Toxicology (ACT), and the Association for Research in Vision and Ophthalmology (ARVO), and is a past president of the SOT Ocular Toxicology Specialty Section. Dr Thackaberry is also a member of the IQ consortium Novel Excipients Working group, and the International Pharmaceutical Excipients Council (IPEC). He has published numerous papers and book chapters on ocular toxicology and formulation toxicology/strategy.
