Eva Benfeldt MD, PhD, MPG

Eva Benfeldt is a Consultant Dermatologist and Postgraduate Clinical Lecturer at Department of Dermatology, Roskilde Hospital, University of Copenhagen, Denmark.

Dr. Benfeldt received her M.D. (1990) and Ph.D. degree in Vivo Microdialysis for theInvestigation of Drug Levels in the Dermis and the Effect of Barrier Perturbation on Cutaneous Drug Penetration from the University of Copenhagen, Denmark. Evas research interests concerns in vivo methodologies for assessment of cutaneouspenetration of drugs and other compounds – in particular microdialysis, investigatedalongside other methodologies such as suction blisters, tape-stripping and recentlyopen-flow microperfusion technique.

This has often been pursued in international collaboration with other groups as well as in collaborative Ph.D. projects. The focus ofthe research is evaluation, validation and further development of methodologies forassessment of bioequivalence of topical products in healthy as well as diseased skin –in humans
