Dr. Shin first joined Johns Hopkins for her internship and residency and then completed a general gastroenterology fellowship and an advanced therapeutic endoscopy fellowship with the Division of Gastroenterology. Now an assistant professor, Dr. Shin has clinical interests in Barrett's esophagus, pancreato-biliary disease, GI malignancy, and advanced endoscopy, including ERCP and EUS. Her research interests include clinical research on obesity and the effect on GI neoplasia/malignancy. In addition to her clinical and research activities, Dr. Shin is also a Ph.D. candidate in the Graduate Training Program in Clinical Investigation at the Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health. Dr. Shin speaks conversational Korean and is board-certified in internal medicine and gastroenterology.
