Eugene Jin-wen Shum MBBS, MPH, FAMS

Eugene Jin-Wen Shum, MBBS, MPH is the Chief Community Development Officer at Changi General Hospital. He oversees community engagement and the integration of health and social care services in the community. Assoc Prof Shum led the development of the Neighbours for Active Living Programme, an innovative health and social integration programme that supports residents with high care needs in the community. He also oversees CareLine, a relationship-based nationwide 24/7 urgent assistant telecare service for seniors.

Assoc Prof Shum is a preventive medicine physician. He obtained his Master of Public Health from the Bloomberg School of Public Health, Johns Hopkins University. He is an Adjunct Associate Professor at the Saw Swee Hock School of Public Health, National University of Singapore. His areas of interest are community and population health. Assoc Prof Shum is a Grassroots Leader and District Counsellor at the South East Community Development Council. He has conferred the Public Service Medal in 2020.
