Eugene Scharf MD, PhD

Dr. Eugene L. Scharf is a vascular neurologist in clinical practice at the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minnesota. Dr. Scharf has research interests in multiple clinical trials of stroke prevention and vascular contributions to impaired cognition. In practice, he oversees Medicare sustainability efforts and payment reform innovations at an enterprise level. He is a delegate of the American Academy of Neurology to the American Medical Association, and he has been involved in legislative advocacy for neurology at the national level.  He is presently on the American Medical Association Medical Cannabis Task Force and an active member of the Minnesota Cardiovascular Health Alliance.
