Eugene M. Dempsey MB BCH, BAO, FRCPI, MD, MSc, MA

Eugene is a Consultant Neonatologist in the Cork University Maternity Hospital and a Clinical Senior Lecturer with the Department of Pediatrics and Child Health. He is a University College Cork graduate who undertook specialty training in pediatrics in Ireland before moving to McGill University, Montreal for subspecialty training in Neonatology.

His MD is on Hypertension in the Preterm infant and he also has an MSc in Ethics and Law from the RSCI. He is the Chief Investigator for the HIP trial (Management of hypertension in the preterm infant), an FP7-funded project investigating the role of dopamine in the treatment of low blood pressure in the extremely preterm infant.
