Dr Euan Murugasu heads the Ear, Nose & Throat (ENT) – Head & Neck Surgery service in JurongHealth. A Senior Consultant, he practises at Ng Teng Fong General Hospital and Jurong Medical Centre.

Dr Murugasu completed his medical training on President’s Scholarship at the National University of Singapore. He then entered postgraduate training in ENT surgery at the National University Hospital.

He was elected to ENT surgical fellowship at the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh and Royal College of Surgeons of England in 1992. He completed his PhD in Auditory Physiology & Molecular Biology at the University of Sussex, UK, in 1997 on the Lee Kuan Yew Scholarship. He won several prestigious awards, including the Royal Society of Medicine IONOS Registrars Medal and Gold Medal at the 9th British Academic Conference in Otolaryngology held in the United Kingdom.

His inner ear research work was also nominated for the Pulitzer Prize in Zurich, Switzerland in 1999. In the same year, he was appointed as a Senior Lecturer by the National University of Singapore and became a fellow of the Academy of Medicine, Singapore.
