Dr. Belzile is an Assistant Professor, at Université Laval, Quebec City, Canada. He received his medical degree from McGill University and completed an orthopedic residency at Laval University. He is fellowship-trained in hip and knee adult reconstruction from the University of Virginia as well as in pelvic reconstruction in young adults and adolescents from Childrens’ Hospital in Boston and Harvard University. He has been involved with the Canadian Orthopaedic Association as the Chair of the Scientific Program 2016 COA meeting in Quebec City; as Co-Chair of the COA Program Committee of the 2014 AOA/COA Combined meeting in Montreal; Co-Chair of 10th and 11th Symposium on Joint Preserving and Minimally invasive surgery of the hip in 2013 (Quebec City) and 2015 (Ottawa); Member of the EPCAT II study Steering Committee (CIHR funded); Member of the Canadian Arthroplasty Society research committee, Director of Clinical Research for the Orthopedic Surgery Residency Training program at Université Laval. He has published and presented extensively on the hip joint preservation surgery. His array of practice includes hip arthroscopy, hip resurfacing, periacetabular osteotomy, surgical dislocation, DAA THA, and Revision THA.
