Estella Maria Alonso MD

Estella M. Alonso is a Medical Director of the Siragusa Transplant Center and provides leadership and support for the missions of the solid organ transplant programs at Lurie Children's. She is the Vice Chair of the Department of Pediatrics and Pediatric Executive Leader of the Ambulatory Leadership Committee at Ann and Robert H Lurie Children's Hospital. Her clinical practice includes the treatment of all forms of chronic liver disease in childhood and the management of children following liver transplantation. Her special areas of clinical focus include acute liver failure, complications of cirrhosis, and withdrawal of immunosuppression following liver transplantation.
