Dr. Ernest Beng Kee Kwek graduated from the National University of Singapore in 1997, and completed his advanced specialist training in Orthopaedic Surgery in 2008, obtaining his fellowship with the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh.

Dr. Kwek’s areas of interest include orthopedic trauma, with a special interest in pelvic-acetabular and peri-articular fractures. He was awarded an HMDP Scholarship in orthopedic trauma and completed his fellowship training in Canada at a Level 1 Trauma Centre.

In addition, Dr. Kwek was also awarded a fellowship in limb reconstruction and deformity correction, which he completed in Italy. He has a particular interest in post-traumatic limb reconstruction, as well as the management of bone defects and nonunions.

Dr. Kwek is a recipient of the Professor N Balachandran Memorial Essay Award and the Top 10 Best Teacher Award. He has published top-cited papers and his research work has also won awards in international congresses. He has organized several regional courses and is actively interested in teaching the next generation of orthopedic surgeons.

Dr. Kwek is a Visiting Consultant for Khoo Teck Puat Hospital and a committee member of the AOTrauma Singapore Chapter. He holds memberships in several international orthopedic trauma associations.
