Erma Z. Drobnis PhD

Erma Z. Drobnis is Director of the Andrology Laboratory at the University of Missouri-Columbia (MU) School of Medicine. She has studied sperm biology and reproductive medicine in diverse species for more than 35 years, including humans, domestic, and model species in the areas of clinical semen analysis, cryobiology, and cell biology of fertilization. She completed her PhD in Physiology at the University of California, Davis (UCD), working with advisor Dr. David Katz, writing a dissertation on the biophysics of sperm-oocyte interaction in mammals.
