Erliang Zeng is an associate professor at the University of Iowa (UI) with affiliations to the Division of Biostatistics and Computational Biology in the College of Dentistry and the Department of Biostatistics. Before joining UI, he was an assistant professor at the University of South Dakota (USD) with joint appointments to the Department of Biology and the Department of Computer Science. From 2009 to 2014, he was a research assistant professor in the Department of Computer Science and Engineering at the University of Notre Dame (ND) and the managing director of the ND bioinformatics core facility. He was a post-doctoral associate at the University of Miami after receiving his Ph.D. degree in Computer Science from the Florida International University in 2008. He also received an M.S. degree in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology, and a B.S. degree in Biotechnology from Shanghai Jiao Tong University, in 2001 and 1998 respectively.
