Erkan Kaptanoglu

Prof. Dr. Erkan Kaptanoglu graduated from Istanbul University Faculty of Medicine in 1990. Hegained his expertise whilst completing his residency in Neurosurgery at Ankara Numune Hospital in 1997. Prof. Dr. Erkan Kaptanoglu worked with Prof. Dr.Charles Tator as a research fellow at the University of Toronto, for a period of one year from 1998-1999 on "spinal cord injury and regeneration" .Prof. Dr. Erkan Kaptanoglu won many awards on spinal cord injury research, such as ‘Acibadem Hospital Medical Research Award’ in 2000, ‘Turkish Neurosurgery Society Dr.Mahir Tevruz Scientific Research Award', 'Award of TUBITAK and the Brain Research Association Wheyt in 2001, ‘Turkish Neurosurgery Society Hamit Ziya Gokalp Young Neurosurgeons Research Award’ in 2002, ‘Yildiz Yalç?nlar ScientificResearch Award.
