Erika T. Brown BS, PhD

Dr. Erika T. Brown, Ph.D. joined Morehouse School of Medicine (MSM) in February 2013 as the Associate Dean for Faculty Affairs and Development. She incorporates her expertise as an academic administrator with her first-hand knowledge and appreciation of faculty matters to this role. She has successfully created an Office of Faculty Affairs and Development that ensures faculty members have the resources and assistance they need for successful recruitment, on-boarding, promotion, career guidance, and professional development.

Dr. Brown is also an Associate Professor in the Department of Pathology and Anatomy, and past Chair of the Diversity and Inclusion Committee. Prior to joining MSM, Dr. Brown served on the administration and faculty at the Medical University of South Carolina (MUSC) from 2004-2013. She was a director in the Office of the Provost, on the research faculty in the Department of Pathology and Laboratory Medicine, and a Hollings Cancer Center member.
