Erica B. Peters is a chemical and biomedical engineer developing biomaterials to resolve cardiovascular disease. She is a Postdoctoral research fellow in the Center for Nanotechnology in Drug Delivery at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. She is preparing for an independent academic career as a tenure-track professor in Biomedical Engineering. Her current research is developing injectable, peptide amphiphile nanocarriers that deliver therapeutics to the atherosclerotic niche as a noninvasive approach to alleviate plaque burden.
