Eric William Nottmeier MD

Doctor Eric Nottmeier is an Assistant Professor of Neurosurgery at the Mayo Clinic College of Medicine and Consultant, Department of Neurosurgery, at the Mayo Clinic in Jacksonville, FL. He is a board certified neurosurgeon and fellowship-trained in spine surgery. Dr. Nottmeier received his medical degree at the University of Missouri, School of Medicine and completed his general surgery internship and neurosurgery residency at University Hospital and Clinics in Columbia, MO.

He advanced his surgical skill and experience through a Spine Surgery Fellowship at Barrow Neurological Institute in Phoenix, AZ. Throughout his career, Dr. Nottmeier has received many honors and awards for academic excellence, research, and patient care.

He is an active member of many prestigious medical societies including Alpha Omega Alpha, American Association of Neurological Surgeons, Congress of Neurological Surgeons, North American Spine Society, and Southern Neurosurgical Society. In addition, Dr. Nottmeier is a member and serves on the faculty of AO North America, a non-profit organization whose mission is to advance patient care.
