Eric Lawer Torgbenu is a Researcher and Physiotherapist at Kibi Government Hospital, Ghana. He was the Head of the Department of the Kibi Government Hospital Physiotherapy Unit until he was appointed a lecturer. He is a registrant of the Allied Health Professions Council, Ghana, and a member of the Ghana Physiotherapy Association. He had his education at the University of Ghana graduating with a BSc Degree in Physiotherapy and later obtained a Master of Science in Disability, Rehabilitation, and Development at the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology, Kumasi.

He is a trained Physiotherapist and has worked for over 6 years as a clinical Physiotherapist. During this period, he took part in various health and disease prevention outreaches to various communities in and around the Kibi Municipality in the Eastern Region of Ghana. He also headed the Physiotherapy Department of the Kibi Government Hospital for 5years and also served as the Consultant Physiotherapist for the AD-Cancer Awareness Organization where they embarked on free medical outreaches. Mr. Torgbenu’s specialty and interests are Rehabilitation and Disability, chronic musculoskeletal conditions, inclusive education, health promotion and prevention, electrotherapy, and soft tissue techniques.
