Dr. Eric W. Tai, MS, MD is a Medical Officer at the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. He is board certified in preventive medicine and is a Commander in the Commissioned Corps of the U.S. Public Health Service.
Dr. Tai attended the Georgia Institute of Technology for his undergraduate studies and the Medical College of Georgia for medical school. He completed residencies in Pediatrics and Preventive Medicine at the University of Maryland. His work and research focus on children, adolescents, and young adults with cancer, evaluating the quality of cancer care through the linkage of cancer registry data to other data sources, and improving cancer patients’ knowledge of infection control.
