Eric S Hungness MD

Eric S. Hungness, M.D. is Associate Professor of Surgery at Northwestern University and was named the first S. David Stulberg Research Professor for Advanced Surgical Education. His clinical interest in minimally invasive gastrointestinal surgery includes one of the largest experiences in the world in Per-Oral Esophageal Myotomy (POEM) for the treatment of achalasia and NOTES. Dr. Hungness is also the surgical director of the Northwestern Center for Advanced Surgical Education (N-CASE), focusing on the use of simulation in the acquisition of minimally invasive surgical skills.
