Eric Liberda earned both an undergraduate and master's degree in Environmental Health from the University of Waterloo and completed a second master’s in Toxicology at the Royal Melbourne Institute of Technology in Australia. He was awarded with a doctorate of Environmental Medicine (Environmental Health Sciences, Exposure Assessment and Toxicology) from the Department of Environmental Medicine at the New York University School of Medicine.

He play an active role in the Society of Toxicology, which is where he currently serve on the Nanotoxicology Specialty Section.He also serve on the Toxicology Specialty Section of the American Industrial Hygiene Association.

Eric Liberda goal is to make a mark by improving human health and human health policy. He focus is on science-based policy and regulatory guideline matters, which are informed by my primary toxicological research. He work to date has resulted in publications and grants that strive to protect Canadians from the adverse health effects of toxicants such as pesticides, lead, coal combustion products, nanoparticles and polychlorinated biphenyls (PCBs). Ultimately, he move my research findings into action by applying the results to inform and develop new policies and guidelines that protect human health.
