Eric B. Loucks, PhD, is a professor, researcher, and innovator in the study of mindfulness and health. He serves as Director of the Mindfulness Center at Brown University. Dr. Loucks is the developer of the Mindfulness-Based College for Young Adults (MB-College) program and the Mindfulness-Based Blood Pressure Reduction (MB-BP) program, both of which have been evaluated in NIH-funded randomized controlled trials. His research also focuses on mindfulness epidemiology methods, evidence synthesis, and implementation science. Throughout his career, he has held teaching positions at Harvard, McGill, and Brown Universities. Dr. Loucks’s work has been widely distributed through media organizations such as the New York Times, TIME Magazine, and the BBC, along with numerous presentations to national and state governmental bodies.
