Eric Green MD, PhD

Eric is a physician-scientist and entrepreneur with more than 10 years of experience building and operating innovative scientific organizations. He first joined Third Rock in 2013 as an associate to focus on the formation and scientific and clinical strategy of new companies. He returned in 2017 as an entrepreneur-in-residence. Eric was involved in the launch of Element Science, MyoKardia, Goldfinch Bio, Cibiem, and Maze Therapeutics.

Prior to joining Third Rock, Eric co-founded ILab Solutions, a provider of web-based software and services designed to streamline scientific research, which was acquired by Agilent, and Respira Design, a medical device company treating asthma in the developing world, which won the Stanford $50K Entrepreneurship Challenge. He is a board-certified physician with training in internal medicine and cardiovascular medicine from Brigham and Women’s Hospital. He received an M.D. and Ph.D. in Chemical and Systems Biology from Stanford University and an A.B. in History and Science from Harvard College. Eric grew up in Southern California but only embraced surfing after he moved to New England.
