Enrico Mossotto PhD

Enrico Mossotto is a seasoned bioinformatics expert currently serving as Senior Director at MeiraGTx since June 2021, where responsibilities include leading the Genome Informatics and AI Group and designing an AI model for AAV vector potency. Enrico has a strong background in bioinformatics, having previously held positions as a Senior Bioinformatics Scientist at MeiraGTx, a Postdoctoral Fellow at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai, and a Postdoctoral Research Fellow at the University of Southampton. Enrico's educational credentials include a PhD in Genome Sciences/Genomics from the University of Southampton, a Master’s in Molecular Biotechnology, and a Bachelor’s in Biotechnology/Molecular Biology from Università degli Studi di Torino. Throughout his career, Enrico has made significant contributions to gene therapy, RNA editing, and multi-omics data integration, while also leading academic initiatives and supervising PhD students.
