I am a Chair in Paediatric Infection, and Honorary Consultant in Paediatric Infectious Diseases and Immunology at Alder Hey Children's NHS Foundation Trust. My research interests are a) in understanding the host response to serious bacterial infection, and b) improving the diagnosis of serious bacterial infection using both proteomic and transcriptomic approaches.
