Dr. Nicholson has both an NHS and private practice at the Royal Marsden Hospital. She is a Consultant Hematologist with a special interest in stem cell transplantation and acute leukaemia.

She graduated from Glasgow University in 2002 and undertook her postgraduate hematology specialist training in Glasgow and London. She was awarded a PhD in 2013 from University College London and her research focused on T cell Receptor Gene Therapy.

She was appointed as a Consultant Hematologist at the Royal Marsden Hospital in 2016. She is clinical lead for Acute Lymphoblastic Leukaemia and Stem Cell Transplant in Teenage and Young Adult patients, for clinical trials in stem cell transplant and for Chimeric Antigen Receptor T cells in hematological malignancies.
