Emir Osmanagic PhD

Dr. Emir Osmanagic is a Director of Visualization Technologies - Digital Surgery, at Ethicon R&D, a Johnson and Johnson company, where he leads the effort of digital transformation and rapid development of highly differentiating imaging and visualization technologies, applicable across various surgical approaches, open, laparoscopic or robotic surgery. Prior to this position, Dr. Osmanagic was ìHead of New Technologies and Innovation at Baxter Inc in Los Angeles, California, where he shaped innovation strategy and oversaw the execution of the technology innovation portfolio.

Dr. Osmanagic holds a Ph.D. from the School of Medicine, Department of Radiology, and School of Engineering from Washington University in St. Louis. His doctoral dissertation was titled: ìQuantitative Assessment of Lung Microstructure in Healthy Mice Using an MRI-based 3He Lung Morphometry Techniques.
