Emily Hajjar, Pharm.D., BPCS, BCACP, CGP, is a Professor in the Jefferson College of Pharmacy at Thomas Jefferson University in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Dr. Hajjar earned her Pharm.D. at Duquesne University and then completed a pharmacy practice residency at the University of Rochester Medical Center in Rochester, New York. She then completed a geriatric pharmacy specialty residency at the Minneapolis Veteran’s Affairs Medical Center, followed by a geriatric pharmacotherapy-epidemiology fellowship at the University of Minnesota, College of Pharmacy.
She has published a variety of peer-reviewed publications and textbook chapters on topics of polypharmacy in elderly patients and geriatric pharmacotherapy issues. She is a past recipient of the Jefferson College of Pharmacy AACP Teacher of the Year Award, Dean’s Faculty Achievement Award, and the Thomas Jefferson University Lindback Distinguished Teaching Award.
