Emily F. Boss MD, MPH

Emily Boss, MD, MPH, is a pediatric ENT surgeon and Director of Pediatric Otolaryngology at Johns Hopkins University. A surgeon‑scientist and health‑systems leader, she studies how families, physicians, and institutions navigate decisions about children’s health. Her NIH-funded research examines communication, trust, and the factors that influence both appropriate and unnecessary surgery.
