Ellen Wilkinson BM, FRCPsych

Ellen Wilkinson qualified in medicine from Southampton University in 1987. She specialized in psychiatry, completing post-graduate training in Bristol. Ellen has worked as a consultant adult psychiatrist in Cornwall since 2000, including 10 years of experience as a Medical Director. She is also Associate Registrar for Revalidation at the Royal College of Psychiatrists. Ellen became involved in patient safety work when the successes of acute hospitals started to be adapted for mental health settings. She completed the SW AHSN funded Patient Safety Officer course in Devon in 2015. As well as the mental health patient safety program, she has also been involved with the SW zero suicides program.
