Elizabeth Douglass is an assistant professor of internal medicine at Dell Medical School specializing in infectious diseases. She has been dedicated to the patients of Central Texas by assisting as a clinical professor in several medical foundations as well as an assistant professor of internal medicine at the University of Texas Medical Branch and UT Southwestern. Douglass has received several awards including the Gold Team Excellence Award in Seton Associated Hospitals and the Internal Medicine Attending of the Year at Brackenridge Hospital. Douglass is a member of the Infectious Diseases Society of America, the HIV Medicine Association and the American College of Physicians.

She enjoys teaching the residents on the internal medicine and infectious diseases service. She has a special interest in HIV and outpatient parenteral antimicrobial therapy for patients with complex infections. She completed her undergraduate degree in biology at The University of Texas at Austin and attended medical school at the UT Health Science Center in Houston. She completed her residency and chief residency in internal medicine at the UT Health Science Center in Houston and stayed there for her fellowship in infectious diseases.
