Elizabeth Spurgeon MD

Elizabeth Norma Spurgeon, MD, is a staff physician in the Cleveland Clinic Neurological Institute Epilepsy Center. She is board-certified in neurology by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology and is board-eligible in epilepsy. Dr. Spurgeon completed medical school at Michigan State University College of Human Medicine. She completed neurology residency training and a two-year fellowship in epilepsy at Cleveland Clinic, which included advanced training in surgical epilepsy and a year of serving as chief fellow. Dr. Spurgeon’s research is focused on lifestyle modifications in epilepsy, critical care EEG, physician and trainee well-being, and education program development.
