Dr. Lahti received a BA in Spanish and English Literature from Lawrence University, and she then received her medical degree from University of Illinois at Chicago. She completed her residency training and chief residency at OHSU in Portland, Oregon, and then practiced for 6 years as a community-based hospitalist before returning to OHSU in 2013. Dr. Lahti is the Director of Narrative Medicine in the OHSU School of Medicine and a co-founder of the Northwest Narrative Medicine Collaborative. She is a faculty advisor for the OHSU AMWA (American Medical Women's Association) chapter and the OHSU Women's Leadership Development Program. Her professional interests are narrative medicine, reflective practice, mentorship, and professional identity formation.
