Elizabeth Ellen Foglia MD, MSCE

Dr. Foglia performs clinical research related to neonatal resuscitation. Her interests include methods of monitoring and optimizing delivery room management of extremely preterm infants. She is especially interested in identifying strategies of respiratory support to reduce lung injury during neonatal transition. In addition, Dr. Foglia is interested in determining optimal methods to evaluate neonatal resuscitation. She directs the Neonatal Resuscitation Audiovisual Review program at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania, and she facilitates simulation-based resuscitation training for the pediatric residents. She is a hospital-based Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) instructor, and she is a member of the American Heart Association Get With the Guidelines-Resuscitation Pediatric Taskforce.
