Elisa Raffaella Ferre is an Experimental Psychologist and Cognitive Neuroscientist. She completed a BSc and an MSc in Psychology at the University of Degli Studi di Pavia (Italy). She obtained a Ph.D. in Psychology at the University Degli Studi di Pavia in 2012 for the investigation of multisensory integration between vestibular, somatosensory, and visual functions in humans. She was a Postdoctoral Fellow at the Institute of Cognitive Neuroscience at University College London (UK) from 2012 to 2015.
She took up my first faculty position at Royal Holloway University of London (UK) in 2015. She joined Birkbeck University of London (UK) in September 2021 where she established the Vestibular Neuroscience laboratory. Since October 2022, She is Reader of Cognitive Neuroscience.
The main focus of her research is to empirically identify the contribution of the vestibular system to human cognition.
