Eliot is Head of North America operations at Deallus Consulting. Based in the New York office, he brings a unique balance of consulting experience, therapy area expertise, and IP knowledge to the Deallus global team. During his consulting career, Eliot has partnered with leaders of blockbuster brands, helped life cycle management and new product planning teams merge scientific excellence with commercial considerations, and co-facilitated workshops to lead cross-functional teams through the strategy process. The common theme between all of these engagements has been leveraging external market insights and Deallus’ analytical capabilities to deliver value to clients.

Prior to joining Deallus, Eliot helped recruit and manage a team of technology analysts at a premier patent research firm in San Diego, where he delivered intellectual property insights to support business and legal decisions at many of the world’s leading biotech and pharmaceutical companies.

Eliot brings a strong scientific base gained through 10 years of preclinical laboratory research in oncology, immunology, signal transduction, and genomics/epigenetics. His scientific research on the intersection between the immune system and cancer has been published in the journal Cell, featured in news stories in Science, Nature, and The Lancet – Oncology and was cited in the textbook “Cancer Immunotherapy, 2nd Edition”, 2014.

During graduate studies, Eliot spent three months in the clinic at a comprehensive cancer center as part of a multi-disciplinary cancer care team. By participating in patient consultations/grand rounds and interacting with patients, physicians, and other health care providers, he gained a ‘real-world’ perspective into patient care in clinical oncology.

Eliot completed his Ph.D. in Molecular Pathology, Professional Certificate in Intellectual Property and clinical internship in Hematology/Oncology at the University of California, San Diego, and B.A. in Biochemistry (minor in Artificial Intelligence) at Case Western Reserve University.
