Elias Kaperonis MD, PhD

Elias Kaperonis is a Consultant in the Vascular Surgery Department at the Athens University Medical School. He is a member of the European Society for Vascular Surgery and the General Medical Council. Dr Kaperonis has received an international scholarship from the Onassis Public Benefit Foundation (2004–2005) and another from the American College of Surgeons for 2005. He graduated from Athens University Medical School in 1990 before training in general and vascular surgery in Laikon University Hospital, Athens, from 1995 until 2002; he received his Certificate of Completion of Specialist Training in 2003. He obtained his PhD from Athens University in 2005 on the subject of carotid plaque inflammation and cerebrovascular symptomatology.
