Elia Lopez-bernardo PhD

Elia holds a PhD in Cellular and Molecular Biology from Universidad Autonoma de Madrid. She started working with Biogelx in New York, USA in 2016, where she drove the international development of the company and its biomaterials for cell culture and bioprinting for two years. Elia has a solid research background and expertise in a wide-range of biological applications. Now back at Biogelx in Europe, Elia is using this experience for the development of Biogelx’s innovative bioinks through managing relationships with biotechnology partners and other industry and academic collaborators. Biogelx bioinks are a range of novel patented 3D peptide hydrogels that can be chemically and mechanically modified to mimic different tissues and provide a cost effective, animal-free 3D scaffold to support 3D Bioprinting applications.
