Dr. Eli Gilboa, PhD, is an internationally recognized scientist, entrepreneur, and pioneer in cancer immunotherapy and gene therapy. He currently serves as Founder, Chief Scientific Officer at Sebastian BioPharma, where he leads the development of innovative immunotherapeutic approaches designed to make tumors more visible to the immune system and improve responses to cancer treatment. His work focuses on advancing next-generation immunotherapies, including the company's proprietary iTAP platform, with the goal of developing broadly applicable therapies for cancer and infectious diseases.
Throughout his distinguished career, Dr. Gilboa has made seminal contributions to molecular biology, tumor immunology, and gene therapy. He has held faculty positions at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center, Duke University Medical Center, and the University of Miami Miller School of Medicine, where he led groundbreaking research in cancer vaccines, T-cell engineering, and immune modulation.
