Elena Palassini MSc

Elena Sini is a Chief Information Officer with 20 years of experience acquired among high-level Italian public and private health workers, such as the Irccs National Cancer Institute and Humanitas. Since 2019, Sini is Group Cio at GVM Care and Research, one of the leading Italian private healthcare groups that manage healthcare facilities throughout Italy and other European countries. Sini is president of the HIMSS Europe Governing Council and founder of the HIMSS Italian Community, as well as a member of the committee.

Throughout her career, Sini has been involved in several committees set up by national and regional health organizations. She was recently appointed by the European Union Agency for Cybersecurity to provide advice on the drafting of the European Union cyber guidelines for the health sector. Sini has been working as an adjunct professor since 2003. He is also a guest lecturer at the most important Italian universities. Furthermore, Sini is co-author of numerous publications in peer-reviewed journals and has been awarded for the realization of digital innovation projects in healthcare in Italy and by European bodies.

Before working in the field of health information technology, Sini held research roles in the media and television broadcasting sector at the RAI Research Center and the Canal + Group. He holds a Master's Degree in Telecommunications Engineering from the University of Pisa. She completed postgraduate courses at MIP - School of Management - Politecnico di Milano.
