Elaine Warburton OBE has over 25 years’ healthcare, biotechnology, and entrepreneurial expertise. With an eclectic background in nursing, genetics, accounting, and managing hospitals, she is currently co-founder and CEO of QuantuMDx Group.

After graduating with a combined degree in life sciences & nursing from Liverpool University, Elaine moved into healthcare management after qualifying as a Chartered Accountant with KPMG. Frustrated with the slow pace of change, she began her journey bringing together teams of like-minded individuals sharing her passion to introduce innovative and disruptive technologies & medical practices to revolutionize the world of medicine and healthcare across the globe.

In 2008 she co-founded QuantuMDx, her third start-up, with Jonathan O’Halloran and Julian Warburton. With the aim of addressing humanitarian health challenges, they began the development of Q-POC, a simple to use, low cost portable molecular diagnostic lab with the ability to rapidly detect disease and track emerging pandemics. Elaine was awarded an OBE in the 2014 Queen’s New Year Honours for services to Innovation in Healthcare.
