Elaine Tilling MSc, RDH, DMS, MIHPE

Elaine qualified as a dental hygienist in the Royal Air Force (RAF) in 1982, serving at home and abroad in clinical and tutoring roles. Her military career culminated in a six year tour as the Principal Tutor of the Defence Dental Agency Dental Hygienist Training School where she was responsible for training dental hygienists for the three armed services. Since leaving the RAF in 2002, Elaine has been employed as the Education and Project Manager for TePe UK Ltd, where she is responsible for designing and implementing educational programmes for the dental profession and the general public.

Elaine is an active member of the British Society of Dental Hygiene and Therapy (BSDHT), and a member of the Publications committee for Dental Health and on behalf of the BSDHT has been co-opted onto a range of guideline development groups such as the National Institute of Clinical Excellence (NICE) which reported on the interval between routine dental examinations.
