Einar T. Ingvarsson, Ph.D., BCBA-D, is program director of autism services at the Child Study Center in Fort Worth and a research scientist in the Department of Behavior Analysis at The University of North Texas. He received a bachelor's degree in psychology from the University of Iceland in 1997, a master's degree in behavior analysis from the University of North Texas in 2002, and a Ph.D. in behavioral psychology from the University of Kansas in 2005. Subsequently, he completed a postdoctoral internship at the Kennedy Krieger Institute/Johns Hopkins University in Baltimore. Prior to coming to the Child Study Center, he spent two years as an assistant professor in the psychology department at Youngstown State University in Ohio.

Dr. Ingvarsson previously served as associate editor for both the Journal of Applied Behavior Analysis (JABA) and The Analysis of Verbal Behavior. He is also on the editorial boards of JABA, The Behavior Analyst, European Journal of Behavior Analysis, Behavioral Interventions, and the International Journal of Behavior Analysis and Autism Spectrum Disorders. Ingvarsson is currently president-elect of the Texas Association for Behavior Analysis (TxABA) and has served on the executive council for that organization for several years. His primary research interests are in the areas of verbal behavior and social skills instruction for young children with autism spectrum disorder and other developmental disabilities, as well as the functional assessment and treatment of problem behavior.
