Ehud Assia MD

Professor Ehud Assia, MD, graduated from the Sackler School of Medicine at Tel-Aviv University and later completed his residency in Ophthalmology at the Goldschleger Eye Institute, Sheba Medical Center. Dr. Assia was a fellow at the Center for Intraocular Lens Research at the Medical University of South Carolina, USA.

Dr. Assia is a Professor of Ophthalmology at Tel-Aviv University, and since 1994 he has been the Director of the Department of Ophthalmology at the Meir Medical Center and is also the founder of the Laboratory of Experimental Microsurgery at the Meir Medical Center. He has extensively published in the field, including over 150 peer-reviewed research papers, 25 book chapters, and has co-edited a book titled Premium and Specialized Intraocular Lenses. Dr. Assia developed several original patented devices and instruments for glaucoma and cataract surgery. Dr. Assia is also the Medical Director of the private Eintal Eye Center in Tel-Aviv.
