Edwin I. Megargee PhD, CCHP

Edwin I. Megargee, Ph.D., CCHP, recently retired as a professor of psychology at Florida State University. He earned his BA from Amherst College and his Ph.D. from the University of California at Berkeley. The author of more than 100 books, chapters, and journal articles about correctional assessment, he has consulted with numerous criminal justice agencies in the United States and Great Britain including the Federal Bureau of Prisons and the United States Secret Service.

He received the Second Annual Award for Significant Research on the MMPI instrument from the University of Minnesota in 1987 and has received lifetime achievement awards from the American Association of Correctional Psychologists (1985) and the National Commission on Correctional Health Care (1994).
