Edwige Landais is a Public Health Nutritionist with a Master's degree in Food and Nutrition and a PhD in nutritional sciences. Her main interest is in dietary assessment (including the development and management of food composition databases) as well as in determinants of food consumption, with a particular focus on low- and middle-income settings. So far, she has been involved in a range of studies with adults and children in Africa (Algeria, Benin, Madagascar, Morocco, Niger, Senegal, Tunisia, Zambia) and French Guiana; Aboriginal adolescents (Canada); and migrant adults (Tunisia, Morocco, Mali).
