Dr. Humbert founded Joint Implant Surgeons of Florida in 2003 and established himself as a regional leader in total joint replacement and arthroscopy. Dr. Humbert developed his interest in orthopaedics while obtaining his degrees in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Florida and Masters degree in Biomedical Engineering from the University of Akron. His studies concentrated on musculoskeletal biomechanics, as well as orthopedic implant design. He completed his medical school training at Nova Southeastern University and orthopedic surgical residency at Ohio University, Columbus, OH. He then completed a one-year fellowship in joint replacement and reconstruction of the hip and knee.
Dr. Humbert’s goal is to perform a safe, quality joint replacement, as well as provide the most progressive conservative measures to preserve the natural joint prior to surgery. He instructs surgeons around the country on the most state of the art techniques in total hip and knee replacement. Dr. Humbert has successfully implanted over 8000 hip and knee replacements and currently performs over 900 joint replacements a year.
