Dr. Edward S. Porubsky was Professor of Surgery and Chief of Otolaryngology at the Medical College of Georgia School of Medicine from July 1, 1974, until his retirement on June 30, 2001.
He inaugurated the residency at the Medical College of Georgia at Augusta University and quickly built a first-class clinical program. Among his legacies is a robust experience with laryngeal trauma that represents one of the largest published series in the world.
Dr. Porubsky is currently Professor Emeritus of Surgery and Chief Emeritus of Otolaryngology.
