Edward Harris is currently an Associate Professor at the University of Nebraska in Lincoln working on projects that define the role of liver sinusoidal endothelial cells in heparin and antisense oligo clearance and response in non-alcoholic fatty liver disease. His research program is focused on the biology and biochemistry of the Stalin receptors and how they affect human physiology and disease. Due to their expression in the liver and other tissues of the body, their contribution to extracellular matrix management and the catabolism of certain therapeutic drugs is significant in terms of metabolic half-life.
